Vehicle Inspections

CAR INSPECTORS will perform an on-location 75 point pre-purchase inspection and road test on any privately owned vehicle being considered for purchase in the Continental USA. Included with the inspection is an estimate for any parts & labor costs of existing and potential problems. The inspector will also contact you directly with a verbal report immediately after the completion of the inspection. Also included is a minimum of 8 photos of the exterior and interior of the vehicle plus photos of any specific problems found. Also included is a minimum of one video w/sound of the engine idling/running plus one video w/sound of a real-time drive of the vehicle. This information can then be used for negotiating the final sale price of the vehicle. Inspections are completed and the results returned within 48 to 72 hours. CAR INSPECTORS offers on-location vehicle certifications for individual sellers who realize the value of having a third-party qualify a vehicle they plan to publicly market in the Continental USA. Certified vehicles command higher prices as they offer potential buyers insurance from possible defects knowing that it was certified by a qualified technician not afilliated with the seller.

Car Inspectors Vehicle Inspections and Certifications Include:

Thorough 75 point evaluation of the various operational and aesthetic systems of the vehicle. Our trained inspectors will locate and make a written report of any existing and potential problems or defects. Some of the components and systems checked:

• Body and frame overall condition including any previous accidents, repairs or rust.
• Overall engine condition including compression, noises, leaks, smoothness and performance.
• Transmission condition including clutch for manual transmissions.
• Steering and suspension including shocks, bushings, ball joints and hydraulic systems.
• Brake system including linings and ABS.
• Engine and chassis electrical system.
• Computer systems including engine, drivetrain and emissions systems.
• Accessories such as air conditioning, cruise control, sound systems, navigational and phone connection.
• Aftermarket equipment including "high-performance" and electronic systems.

After the inspection and road test, CAR INSPECTORS will then issue a written estimate of any immediate or upcoming repairs which will be required.
